MARK BUCHER
Mark Bucher's fascination with burgers started at a very young age. Actually, at 4 mark would only eat a hamburger for dinner for 2 years. Thankfully growing out of that phase, Mark continued his pursuit of the perfect burger. Mark started his culinary adventure at The Old Ebbit Grill in Washington DC. That evolved and in 2002, he became the VP of food and beverage for 4 different casinos in Las Vegas. In 2004, Mark introduced his burgers to rave reviews, instantly wining "Best Burger in LV for 4 consecutive years. In 2007, Mark took that burger knowledge and opened BGR The Burger Joint just outside of Washington, DC. BGR's custom blends of Prime aged beef combined with its fresh baked sesame buns, have dc diners waiting in lines, sometimes for over an hour, for his burgers. The Washington Post, offer up this assessment "When your done with this burger you want a straw to suck up the juices left on your plate." The Burger Joint's specialty burger "The Wellington" continues to dominate food competitions around the globe.
