The lures that ultimately drew Niko Executive Chef Raj Dixit toward a professional culinary life were set relatively early. What has been driving him in the kitchen since those initial introductions-and for the last decade professionally-is his earnest desire to craft inspired food that seamlessly melds seasonality, flavor, creativity, passion and integrity. Throughout his career, Dixit has earned the respect of his peers, the dining public and the critics alike, and has been instrumental in his respective restaurants receiving seven total stars from the New York Times and a coveted Michelin star.
Eight years under the tutelage of Chef Craig Shelton at of the famed Ryland Inn, followed by positions with Dennis Foy and David Bouley, provided Dixit with the basis for a successful solo career. But it was his time in Europe and then in Japan that ultimately defined who he is as a chef. Dixit brings this hard-earned experience, and innate talent, to Niko where under the guidance of Consulting ChefJosh DeChellis, he will imbue the menu with his unique philosophy and the inspiration he has garnered along the way.
