BIRK O'HALLORAN
After getting his degree in Hotel Administration, Birk decided drinking was the best part of the service industry. In Denver he trained at the International Wine Guild and opened KaCee's Wine and Spirits. From there he went on to become one of the founding team members and wine director for CoolVines (Princeton & Westfield NJ). Named one the 8 great wines shops across the country by Imbibe magazine and NJ Monthly's Best Central NJ Wine Shop 2009.
Birk is now the sales and marketing director for AI Selections, a Queens based wine importer founded by David Weitzenhoffer and Laura Süpper both formerly of Felidia in Manhattan. Starting in 2007, AI Selections has become a rising star in the wine import world, guided by their core principle to "work with good people and good wine."
When not drinking wine, Birk can be found riding his bike through Brooklyn or back in his home state of Colorado either climbing up or skiing down the Rocky Mountains.
