"Cyril Abel Chaplot was born in France into a family from Sainte Magnance, a lesser known appellation of Burgundy, Cyril grew up far from France. His father was stationed in various countries including Afghanistan, Ivory Coast and Chile as cultural attache of the French government. Graduating high school whilst his father was working in Chile, Cyril studied agronomy there (Universidad Tecnológica de Chile) and as they say "met a girl". After working in international trade with the Bank of Chile and starting a family of his own, he returned to France to study International Commerce at Universite Jean Moulin in Lyon. Much Cyril's chagrin his uncles had since sold the family holdings in Burgundy, so he travelled back to Chile with the hope of working in the burgeoning wine trade there. After a brief stint with a lingerie firm he joined WFC and has been in charge of exports ever since."
